Right from the start I enjoyed Meg and her strong personality. She may be alone, but she will not settle for just any man, but Brad may just be that man. Brad and Shane are both wonderful men and they are great Doms, willing to teach Meg what she wants to know. I loved watching Brad and Meg fall for each other. The love and trust that develops between them is a wonderful read. As the men introduce Meg to their toys and lifestyle a beautiful bond begins to form between them and no matter how hot the sex gets the love shows through.

This is an author that has quickly become an automatic read for me. I am never disappointed in her books and this story is another one to add to the wonderful pile of good reads from Amber Skyze.

Nothing makes me crazier then reading a short story that doesn’t give credit to the story it has. This book is one of those, I feel I was given snippets of chapters but never the full story. This is a love story about a deployed military man who gets to come home for Christmas. We go from the welcome home kiss to the next morning in no time flat. Leaving me feeling both deprived of a wonderful love story and gypped. If this author wanted to write a short she needed to write something else. This story screams for more then 12 pages…

What a fun and enjoyable read. Timi our Hero is just trying to get away from her well meaning, suffocating family and Clay just wanted to be with Timi, only she doesn’t know it and her brother is his best friend Opps. Lucky for us Mother Nature helps them out and brings us a wonderful short story. Ms. Denna succeeds in writing a short story and still giving it the credit it is due. I didn’t feel like the story was stilted and or that it was rushed I felt it was given its due. Of course I wanted more of their story, but that goes for any good book, 35 or 1000 pages. A definite must read for the Christmas season on a cold day. (Warning some flashbacks to a previous suicide attempt may be found upsetting to some.)

This quick story pulls you in right from the start. Damon has a problem. His uncle Satan wants to throw a celebration for giving gifts, completely unrelated to anything from the big guy upstairs, for the baby demons in Hell. Damon heads to the surface and nabs the first woman he finds. She just happens to be adorable and setting up a Christmas display, so he’s sure she’ll be fine for the job. Holly knows she’s up for the job of giving Hell a holiday and she might even get it done if she survives the heat and the plethora of demons who are always offering to kill her. Between keeping cool and finding flame retardant toys for the babes, Holly also feels the need to heat things up between her and dishy Damon.

What an adorable story! Holly is sassy and fun. Damon is an inviting mix of sexy, sweet and tough. The supporting characters made me laugh and through it all I was hoping the baby demons had a great holiday and that Holly and Damon would get each other. Holly Day is definitely a great short story to get any reader in the mood for the Christmas season with a laugh.

I know I am going to curl up with a good story when I see Stephanie Beck's name on the cover, and I have to admit as a reviewer I make it a point never to look at the author when picking a book to review, I look at the description. You can imagine my thrill to download this one and find Ms Beck had written it.

Like all of Ms. Beck's characters her men are strong where they need to be strong and are soft as well. Softness only their heroine can see or find. There is such power in her heroes and Chris is the ultimate in Alpha Males. And her Heroines, or at least the ones I've have read are strong women from flawed families who can make it but sure do enjoy the strong shoulders they have been given to lean on. her Secondary Characters are also well formed and have a depth many authors don't give the time to.

I do believe that one scene in this book will be burned into my senses for a long time to come, and with out giving it away I can just tell you that the anger and need Chris feels illuminates off the page, and Mona's sense to go to him is just as strong the whole scene is so beautifully crafted that I actually read it again.

My only complaint in the story is that there should have been a warning at the beginning... WARNING YOU WILL CRAVE HOT ALPHA MALES and a CUP of HOT COCOA. My advice have some on hand before reading the book.

The only thing I wish had been included was more background on the main characters, especially Sera, but the story still came across well without it.

Ms. Saville has written an engaging tale with witty scenarios and characters who the reader (at least this reader) will fall in love with on sight. Their troubles seem impossible to overcome, but we hope, as this is a romance, that somehow all will be well in the end. But will it?

You’ll just have to read it and find out. No trouble there, since Salem is absolutely the best place to be on Halloween. And with Cliodna, the troublesome faerie around, it looks as though it will be impossible to avoid Shane turning to dust.

If you only read one wonderful Halloween story this year, make it Wiccan Kitten…I can’t even say it without giggling.

Adam has heard many tales about the seductive leader of the fairy thieves for many years and is prepared when he encounters her. However, when a falcon tries to take off with her Adam can’t help but intervene and saves her life. Goddesses, werewolves, and elves, oh my! This book was incredibly clever and fun. Filled to the bursting with magical creatures this story is a fast paced ride that doesn’t really slow down until the end. Kate and Zane are very lovable characters and their relationship unfolds very sweetly. The plot offers many twists and turns with every new realization. As the first of a series a lot had to be accomplished in this story with the unveiling of a whole cast of characters, but this was done in an interesting way that was not overwhelming like some other series beginners tend to be. The dialogue is witty and well written, making me laugh on several occasions. I would highly recommend this book and I’m anticipating continuing the series.

This was a very sexy story with some pretty dark moments. I liked the concept of this story. It was something different and the characters were well crafted. There was a little bit of plot but this story was mostly the relationship between Cavyn and Loveday, or and his nest mate Priscilla, but for that part you’ll just have to read it. Overall a very hot, intense read; I enjoyed it.

As if all of their individual problems aren’t enough, a vampyre hunter and a crazed vampyre with a grudge come into their midst.

This is a complex story with numerous subplots that are well woven together. The characters have good depth and the reader wants to pull for each of them. Except for the villains, those you want to stake yourself and help the heroes and heroines out. Great read!

Even though he is trying to reconnect Saphira can’t separate herself from the faeries and doesn’t know if she wants to try. One night in the manor Saphira is attacked and the faeries help her escape into their realm, but what will become of her there?

Ransom Morgan has noticed the increase in the distance between him and Saphira but doesn’t know how to mend the damage. When Saphira doesn’t come home one night Ransom goes looking for her and is terrified when he sees the signs of struggle in the manor. Ransom also encounters the faeries but his greeting is not a welcome one like Saphira’s, he’s a prisoner. Surrounded by an unfamiliar world and separate from each other will Ransom and Saphira survive what the faeries have planned for them or succumb to their spell.

This story is all over the place and although the main characters are confused and lost, I didn’t really want to be while reading this story. Nothing is really known about any of the characters and only very small background pieces on the main characters are revealed. Also the author used multiple perspectives in this story, shifting from character to character but there is no real connection to any of them. The relationship(s) in this story are not really romantic and the story is mostly a sex fest between all the characters. The setting is very unique but not explained very well. I liked the concepts that this story started with but the follow through was disappointing. I don’t recommend this one.

Ah, high school. Hormones going nuts, trying to fit in, and first “love.” Good memories and bad memories. This short story brings back all of those things.

Sarah Bradley is frustrated by wanting to belong with the “in” crowd and constantly being shunned, until she finally gets a chance at Halloween. Not only does she get a chance for what she thinks she wants, but also she gets a brush with young love.

Matthew Tyler is just doing what is expected of him by the “in” crowd he belongs to. Just another dare for Halloween. But while doing so, he meets someone special.

This is a nicely written story that reminds us all of high school days, good or bad.

Any reader who loves time travel stories will want to pick up Ms Williams, Devil in a Red Kilt. The story is full of intrigue, suspense, love, and redemption. Her hero, Evan, is a man among men, honorable, strong and loving. He is true to his wife no matter what the situation and he has temptation thrown at him regularly. Evie is harder to like, maybe it’s because we love Evan so much it’s harder to sympathize with her plight, I just wanted to reach into the book and shake her, though she is redeemed when she is thrown back in time. The historical elements are well researched and the story line over all is believable. I did have issues believing that you can be married to a man and not know him no matter what century you might find yourself in especially after you have been intimate. But if a reader can suspend their disbelief on that issue, and I believe most can, then they will be in for a great read and great ride, mixed with twists, turns, and surprises.

There’s just one problem, Sebastian has a twin brother, Castor, and Leslie feels called to him as well. Which is her true mate and with a vengeful ex on her tail will she have the time to find out?

This story had a lot of potential to something really special but wasn’t really given enough space to work in. I really liked all the characters and found the kind of shifters that Leslie and the boys are interesting and different. However, everything has to move so fast in this story and as understanding and loving as the heroes are, the relationship still felt rushed. I really liked getting to see the different perspectives of the characters but wish more about life in these colonies, their practices and lifestyle, had been explored. I would have enjoyed the story more. It was still a pretty good story and worth a read but it could have done so much more.

She is one of the strongest heroines I have encountered in a long while and is immediately likable and relate-able. Enter our hero, a man I would take home any day of the week, gentle and infinitely patient all the while sexy, and all MALE. Exactly what Haven needs. The story is strong and riveting. My only complaint is that the POV switches occasionally made me feel like I was head hopping. I simply couldn’t put this book down once I started reading, I found myself opening my nook at the drive thru waiting for my lunch and any minute I could sneak a peak. I cannot wait for the next story in the series. So hurry up Ms Summers, your eager readers await.

At first glance this is an interesting story. It portrays a completely different world under the sea with its own hierarchies and laws and has all the details necessary to immerse the reader in the author’s world. What’s off putting in the beginning of the story is the attitude of the heroine. However, I struggled through the initial dislike of her and eventually she became a character I enjoyed. Oceanus is a noble hero from the beginning, especially in his willingness to take on Nadine. The terms of his curse makes his sacrifices even more touching. The pacing of the story is at times a little slow but overall I consider this a good read. If you enjoy fairy tales this one is for you. Beauty and the Beast and the Little Mermaid all rolled into one with a few twists thrown in for good measure. This is the second in Nancy O’Berry’s Neptune’s Daughters series and having not read the first of the series I’m interested in to how that would have changed my reading of this story but overall this book also works as a stand alone.

And I loved that he loved her with his whole soul, enough to accept only having twice-a-year stolen time together and keep her free of his troubled life. Great characters, good complications, and definitely heat.

There was a lot to like in Unclaimed. Ashley keeps a balance of badass and conscience which is always nice in vampire. Some of the fight scenes got a little long (oh and gory, so if you’re not into the occasional eating of guts, maybe pass on this one). The same themes were hit upon often, but they were important themes to both characters so they worked. Ms. Steiger leaves several doors open for a series with this one and I would be very willing to pick up the next tale of Ashley and Will.

I feel like this book had a lot of potential that is never realized. The plot was intriguing to me but I found my connection to the characters lacking, especially to Kyrian who’s point of view is not really told. If there was a relationship between the main characters, it must have happened in the inbetween spaces of time because this book jumps along almost 700 years of time, longer if you include flashbacks. Time is an element that really bothered me about this story. It was either an exaggeration or miswritten because it was very misleading. At one point in the story Allegra thinks about the last centuries that she and Kyrian have spent together, when she turned him only 60 years ago. There is another discrepancy in time at the end of the piece as well but I don’t want to give anything anyway plot wise. If you like a darker romance where the characters are aggressively sexual and barely converse with each other until the last 3 pages then this is the story for you. Personally I wasn’t a fan and don’t really recommend it.

This story had a lot of potential to be very interesting and sweet. I love any story with a former bad boy, but it did not live up to its potential. “Can’t Bear It” has an incredibly rushed plot, all of which takes place within 24-48 hrs. I really felt for Meg in the beginning of the story and cheered for her making a change in her life, but then I lost touch with her as a character. Jacob was completely unlikeable to me and perhaps that’s because he doesn’t even meet with his heroine until halfway through the story, and doesn’t have time to truly change. The overall setup of this world would have been interesting, to learn the dynamics of the pride, the different shifter races, and more about Strange Hollow, but all of that information was glossed over and the story moved on with a rapid pace. If this story was longer and time had been taken to establish these factors I would have enjoyed it, but with what was there, I’m not impressed.

Very great read! If you’re looking for something that will whisk you away, wrap you up in a bundle of sweetness, then this story is for you! From the magic of witches and warlocks, Ms. Morrison brings you into a world so real, yet different and easy to relate to. The tension was great as was the emotions. This would definitely be a book I would want to read again.

Ms Brenton weaves a sweet Holiday tale in her latests short story. The Characters are likeable and real. Any reader could certainly relate to them on any level. Annika love of baking is also front and center as with beautiful discriptions of the scents and smells of her baking. My only complaint is that I would have liked to see more interaction with between the two main characters, I felt that the romance took a back seat to the other items that were happening in this well written story.

If you are looking for a sweet story to read while waiting for those trick or treaters to come ringing your door bell, you can’t go wrong with this one. Happy reading.

At thirty-two, Marie is more than ready to settle down. But living in a small town leaves much to be desired when it comes to decent single men. Tired of her lonely life Marie makes an inadvertent wish on Halloween that her scarecrow was real and she could have someone for just one night. As she is settling down for the night, Marie hears a knock on the door and finds her mystery man on her doorstep. She spends a wonderful night in his arms only to wake up and find him gone the next morning. Can she find a way to bring her fantasy man back to life?

This was a very cute story. I really enjoyed it. Marie was well written and her loneliness resonated with me. The pacing was good and worked well for this short story. Although the relationship only had a night to develop, Marie and her mystery man fit well together. They were very sweet to read about, and brought a smile to my face. I found this story to be entirely lovable and would recommend it. A nice Halloween treat.
